Unique and hard to find clothing for the ultra hip modern gypsies and hippies who dance to the beat of their own drum. I shop the major clothing shows on the West Coast to select the funkiest clothing I can find. Most are manufactured in 3rd world countries. I try to be selective: No child labor, and maybe pay a little more for top notch quality. I bring you only what I'd wear myself. This is a great little hippie top for Summer! Lots of groovy details on this one.
This one is a stone washed coppery-gold color. Not eye gouging and it is more copper than gold. And did I mention details?
First, it's the natural rayon that feels like heavy, yet soft, drapey cotton. A gorgeous hand to this fabric. There is some added stone washed satin and a floral georgette for the "ruffles". Lots of "swing" to this natural fabric. It is cool water wash, and yes, I'd do it by hand just because of the elements found in this one.
The front of the top comes to a rounded VEE at the lower neckline, and that is trimmed out in little teensy "O" trim all the way around. Additionally, there is a floral print in the stone washed copper that is somewhat of a ruffle that follows the bust and goes under the arm to the side seam. The back goes straight across (no VEE like the front) and it has rows of nice soft elastic to give you a perfect fit. I've shown this in one of the pictures--but the picture is the mocha color. Please use it for reference, since the one for sale here is copper.
This is an empire cut and can you see that fab stone washed satin and embroidered band under the bust? Now, the way the back is, this band does not continue around to the back-- front only. Then the "skirt" is attached. It's somewhat gathered to give you some fullness and twirl. On the front, this piece has tonal little floral embroidered sprigs sprinkled here and there. Then, at the bottom, more embroidery, this time in a horizontal floral. The very bottom repeats the georgette ruffle piece. SO CUTE!
