These antique Flapper era beads are c1920. I believe they are size 11. There are ten - 6 inch strands for a total of 60 inches of gorgeous RICH COBALT BLUE glass beads! There are approximately 18 or more beads per inch and means there will be a lot of beads to PLAY WITH AND ENJOY!

These came from a flapper's dress in my collection of which the fabric was disintegrating into dust. I just bundled them up and hope it adds to their history and charm.

The passage of time has not degraded their lovely, unique, and ascetically pleasing appearance.

What stories could they tell regarding their original owner?

Ballroom dancing, hollywood starlet, romance, sea voyages, debutante, heiress, mystery woman ?

These were the type of beads used in the early years of last century for purses, dresses, hats and laces. PERFECT for repairing, restoring, or recreating the lovely beaded artistic needlework of yesteryear, whether it be beaded purses, lampshades, jewelry, appliqu , embroidery, cross stitch, beaded loom work or clothing.
