The new Gas Hopper 750.10 and 1190.09 hatch + trunk struts are manufactured with durability and oem appearance in mind. These units have 20 to 30 lbs. more compression than other brands, and are almost identical to oem with the exception of length. They are approximately 1/4" shorter, allowing for easier installation.

Trunk struts: 100 lbs. compression vs. 70 lbs. for Acura oem
Hatch struts: 90 lbs. compression vs. 75 lbs. for Acura oem
Fits all 1st-Generation NSX model years: 1991-2005

INSTALL NOTES:
Trunk Supports - Barrel length: While shorter overall, the Gas Hopper barrel is slightly longer than oem. This means you may not be able to secure the top fastener of your wiring clip after install. A simple solution is to make a straight cut across the top of the clip or use a wire tie. It fits securely with the bottom fastener alone, and casual observation does not reveal any modification. Also, the pin end (upper) connectors are steel vs. brass. This solution works great, as any torsional force applied to the struts is alleviated by piston rotation during use. Please DO NOT order if you are expecting a 100% oem replica set, as our trunk units do not match oem dimensions due to these reasons. Our trunk supports have been bought and used by hundreds of happy NSX owners, and are functional and high quality. If you want to keep your car 100% original, we recommend paying more to buy factory units, or to send your originals out of country to be recharged. Returns won't be accepted due to failure to read .

Hatch Supports - Our units differ slightly from Acura oem specs in the position of the lower ball socket and stud. Oem units mount the socket to the stud facing forward (toward rear window), while all aftermarket units (including ours) mount with the stud facing rearward. There is no functional difference with this arrangement - only aesthetic. FREE USA Shipping!
