The stickers come in 4", 5" or 6" height. The letters/numbers are not on a contrasting color ground. Forexample, the sticker is just individual blue and red letters and youhave to put it on a light-colored surface to create the contrast.
I can also make these as white numbers with red outline, the way it is on their dark blue uniforms; just indicate you want this option in the notes when ordering. If you want to put thesticker on a light colored surface, choose the blue color. If you wantto put it on a dark surface, choose the white color. If putting thesticker on a car window, choose white; blue will be too dark to showup.

If the sticker photos look washed out, it is just light reflection as the stickers are glossy.

Measure the area you want to place the sticker before choosing the size.

Ideal surface to place it on is smooth metal, glass or plastic. The sticker will be less adhesive on a wall that's been painted with flat latex paint and even less on an uneven surface with grain such as stucco or unfinished wood. The stickers in the photos have been placed on corrugated plastic, which accounts for the horizontal lines you see.
