FRAME TEXT READS: The Indian Head Cents were designed in 1859 by James B. Longacre. On the obverse is a profile of an Indian in headdress. The reverse was first a laurel wreath and later a wreath of oak with a shield at the top. Indian Head cents were minted until 1909. Stamps included in this collection are the 3 Indian Centennial Stamp first issued in 1948, the 4 Frederic Remington artist of the West stamp first issued in 1961, the 3 50th anniversary Devils Tower National Monument stamp first issued in 1956 and the 3 Lewis & Clark Expedition 150th Anniversary stamp first issued in 1954.
